465. DIRECT ENERGY CONVERSION (Credit,
3 hours). Introduces direct energy conversion (historical
review and future prospectives), energy storage
transport phenomena in semi-conductors, semiconductor
fabrication techniques, thermoelectric,
thermionic and photovoltaic generators, magnetohydrodynamics,
fusion, and fuel cells. Prerequisites:
ELEN 312, 341 and ENGR 340.
