ELEN 400B Computer Architechture

400. COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE (Credit, 3 hours). A study of the basic hardware building blocks from which computers are constructed. Topics include the structural organization and hardware design of digital computer systems, the physical organization of processors to include the ALU, registers, control circuitry, micro-operations, control and timing functions, register transfer language, and memory management techniques. Prerequisite: ELEN 304.
