ELEN 441B Power Systems Fundamentals

ELEN 441B. Credit Hours (3) This course presents the structure, elements, characteristics, management and operation of electrical power systems. The course introduces and explains fundamentals of electrical power systems design and engineering. This course provides an in-depth presentation and discussion of the three-phase circuit analysis, per-unit concepts, energy sources, power generation systems, power transformers, transmission lines, generators, the operation of electrical machines in power systems, faults, short circuit analysis, symmetrical components, and power flow analysis.
