434. OPTIMIZATION TECHNIQUES (Credit, 3
hours) (Lec., 3 hours). The study of the optimal
control of systems with and without constraints,
to include the use of the Hamiltonian, Lagrange
multipliers, the Euler-language equations, the
quadratic criteria, the Riccati equation, and the
formulation of an optimal control law.
Prerequisite: ELEN 431.
