ELEN 445B Power Electronics

ELEN 445B. Credit Hours (3) Power electronics is the application of electronic circuits to energy conversion, transfer and processing. Study of the characteristics, capabilities and limitations of power semiconductor switching devices is discussed. Analysis, design and simulation of common circuit topologies for power conditioning and processing, power converters, and switch-mode power supplies. Power electronics applications are also discussed in detail.
