BIOL 430B Pathogenic Microbiology
430. PATHOGENIC MICROBIOLOGY
(Credit, 4 hours) (Lec., 3 hours; Lab, 3
hours). The physiological and immunological
characteristics of microorganisms producing
disease primarily in humans, emphasizing
host-parasite relationships, their cultivation,
and the identification and mode of pathogenicity
of these microorganisms. Laboratory
experiments introduce techniques used in
identification of pathogenic bacteria.
Prerequisite: BIOL 232.
