469. VICTIMOLOGY (Credit, 3 hours). Topics
addressed in this course include: the extent of
criminal victimization; the role of the victim in
victimization; the cost of victimization; child,
elder, and spouse abuse; victim rights and repaying
victims; sources of data on criminal victimization;
victimizer attitudes toward their victims; victimoffender
relationships; victim/target selection; victim
personal characteristics; and victim behavior
as a situational variable. Prerequisites: CRJU 311,
Junior standing.
