SOCW 397B Generalist Social Work Practice III (3 Credit Hour) Social Work 397 is taught concurrently with the Social Work 395, and it provides students with experiences that incorporate a professional practice frame of reference. The content of SOCW 397 provides students with knowledge about core social work competencies (engagement, assessment, intervention, evaluation) as applied to groups, organizations, and communities; opportunities to use research findings to improve policy, practice, and service delivery; and to enhance knowledge and skills to advance human rights and social, economic, and environmental justice.
