239. HUMAN ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY
II (Credit, 4 hours) (Lec., 3 hours; Lab, 3
hours). A course devoted to a study of gross anatomy
of various systems of the body and the presentation
of concepts, principles, and mechanisms
associated with maintenance of homeostasis. The
anatomy and physiology of the following systems
are discussed: blood; cardiovascular system; lymphatic
system; respiratory system; urinary system;
water, electrolyte, and acid-base balance; reproductive
system; and the digestive system. This
course is designed for students majoring in nursing
education, allied health sciences, and nutrition.
Prerequisites: CHEM 123/108 and CHEM
129/109, CHEM 132/112 and CHEM 133/113,
or equivalent; BIOL 238.
