230. PRINCIPLES OF MICROBIOLOGY
(Credit, 3 hours). Fundamental study of microorganisms
and their relationship to food, sanitation,
public health, and disease. The cultivation, microscopic
examination, and biochemical activity of
microorganisms and basic laboratory techniques
applicable to microbiology, medical technology,
medicine, and industry are also studied. Prerequisite:
CHEM 128 and 129, BIOL 108 and 109.
