SUBR Recreation Therapy program have successfully produced many professionals since the 1970's. The goal of the Recreational Therapy Program is "To prepare competent entry-level recreational therapists in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains."You'll learn from primary faculty members who are certified in recreational therapy and gerontology with many years' experience as healthcare professionals, consultants, and educators. Our support faculty are experts in their respective fields-human anatomy and physiology, counseling, psychology, child development, and family relations.
Recreational therapist must complete a minimum of a bachelor's degree in the field to meet national certification requirements. The TRLS students transcript has consistently meet all necessary requirements to be eligible for the exam leading to national professional credentialing.

What is Recreational Therapy?

Recreational Therapist use recreation and other activities as treatment interventions to improve the functional living competence of persons with mental, emotional, and/or social disabilities.
