443. SOCIOLOGY OF EDUCATION (Credit,
3 hours). Primarily concerned with the interrelationships
between schools and other social
institutions, including the socialization and
social selection functions of schools.
Particular attention paid to the impact of
schooling on racial stratification and to
teacher-student interaction as a determinant
of student achievement.
