274. ELEMENTARY STATISTICS (Credit, 3
hours). An introduction to basic descriptive statistics,
mathematical concepts, and computer
applications¿Statistical Package for the Social
Science (SPSS)¿commonly used in statistics.
Emphasis is placed on frequency distributions
and percentiles, measures of central tendency
and dispersion, standard normal distribution,
and graphs and tables. Prerequisite: Math 131
or higher.
