MATH 129B College Math I (5-Hr Format)

MATH 129B. College Mathematics I (5-Hour Format) (5 Credit Hours). This course is a 5 credit course equivalent to MATH 130B that provides support to meet the needs of students requiring additional preparation for college-level mathematics. The course includes an introduction to problem-solving approaches, logic, real number system; basic concepts of algebra including functions, graphs, systems of equations: and inequalities; geometry; and topics in contemporary mathematics. The course is designed for students needing a maximum of six hours of mathematics. This course provides three hours towards the mathematics requirement. A student may not receive credit in both this course and MATH 130B. Students are placed according to ACT/SAT scores.
