480. COMPUTER NETWORKING (Credit, 3 hours). Presents coverage of current and evolving networks which may involve computers (Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI, ATM, etc.); an explanation of each type of network covered; an overall understanding of what is required (hardware and software) to design, build, install, maintain, and support the networks discussed; two network operating systems; network monitoring; troubleshooting; measurement of network signals; and patterns. Prerequisite: EENT 390
