468. INTRODUCTION OF DAM SAFETY
AND SECURITY (Credit, 3 hours). Review of
selected topics in hydraulics, hydrology, geology,
and soil mechanics; an overview of dams and
appurtenant works; elements and organization of
an effective dam safety program; state legal
requirements, and facility emergency preparedness.
Prerequisite: CIEN 321.
