CHEM 340B General Biochemistry Lecture
340/341. GENERAL BIOCHEMISTRY (Credit,
3 hours each) (Lec., 3 hours). Courses emphasize
the chemistry, biochemistry, and biological
functions of the major classes of biological
compounds: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins,
enzymes, nucleic acids, vitamins, and
hormones. Prerequisites: CHEM 112, 113,
132, 133, 242, 243, 220, 221, 230, and 231;
CHEM 340 is a prerequisite for CHEM 341.
