430. PUBLIC SPEAKING (Credit, 3 hours). The
study and practice of formal platform oratory.
Emphasis is placed on forms of oral discourse, particularly
theories of persuasion and argumentation,
and ceremonial and occasional speaking.
Prerequisites: SPTH 210 or consent of instructor.
