235. MATERIALS SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
(Credit, 3 hours). Principal
applications and properties of metals,
polymers, and ceramics, fundamentals of
compositions, structures, bonding, electron
energy, magnetic behavior, defects and
diffusion, equilibrium phase diagrams, and
thermal and electrical properties. Design
concepts will be introduced. Prerequisites:
CHEM 132 and PHYS 222.
