HUMN 405B. Contemporary Issues in the African American Experience (3 Credit Hours).
This seminar course will provide students with an in-depth examination of a specific contemporary issue related to the African American Experience. Issues will be framed through historical, global, current, and future lenses with consideration for policies and practices that create, sustain, or perpeturate the issue. Selected topics will include inequities and disparities in healthcare, education, minority contact in criminal justice, leadership proactices, business development opportunities, environmental discrimination, and land loss prevention.
