ARCH 217B Structures II
216-217. STRUCTURES I & II (Credit, 3 Hours each semester). A two-semester
study of statics and strength of materials. Concepts studied in Architecture
216 include graphic and mathematical analysis of trusses and structural
frames, properties of sections, shear, and moment diagrams. Concepts studied
in Architecture 217 include stress-strain relationships , deflection, safe
load computations for beams, columns, riveted and bolted joints, and welds.
Prerequisites: Mathematics 130 and 140, or Mathematics 160, Architecture 216
for Architecture 217.
