CRIN 523. LANGUAGE ARTS IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. (Credit, 3 hours). Students¿ review of research in oral and written language of children; needed research indicated by current classroom procedures; research skill development in listening, speaking, handwriting, and spelling. A detailed analysis and evaluation of the Language Arts curriculum consideration of programmed, basal, linguistic, and other types of materials with the criteria for selection of materials and techniques for students with special needs.
