PHYS 540. CLASSICAL ELECTRODYNAMICS I (Credit, 3 hours). Microscopic and macroscopic Maxwell¿s equations, interpretation of the terms, related laws and wave equations with or without source terms; applications to electrostatics with the full treatment of specific problems; multipole expansion; magnetostatics; plane waves, reflection; wave guides and cavities; emission of electromagnetic radiation.
