COEN 429B Cybersecurity in Computer Engineering Systems Laboratory

This laboratory course provides hands-on experience with cybersecurity concepts applied to computer engineering systems. Students perform experiments on microcontroller and FPGA security, embedded firmware protection, network intrusion detection, IoT device security testing, and physical/side-channel attack mitigation. Each lab reinforces the theoretical material from COEN 427B through guided exercises and a culminating design project focused on securing an engineering application such as a smart grid node, robotic controller, or wireless sensor network.
