COEN 413B IoT Networks and Applications
Topics introduce the principles and design of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) with a focus on Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Topics include sensor node architecture, low-power communication protocols (Zigbee, LoRa, Bluetooth LE, 6LoWPAN), middleware and cloud integration, data aggregation, energy management, and IoT security challenges. Application domains include smart cities, industrial IoT, healthcare, and agriculture. Students complete a semester project applying WSN and IoT concepts to a real-world engineering problem.
