COEN 427B Cybersecurity in Computer Engineering Systems

This course introduces cybersecurity concepts with emphasis on protecting computer engineering systems. Focus areas include hardware and firmware vulnerabilities, secure microcontroller and FPGA design, intrusion detection in IoT and embedded networks, and countermeasures against physical and side-channel attacks. Applications cover smart grids, robotics, and wireless sensor networks. Students complete a course project designing or evaluating a security mechanism for a CE application.
