The Southern University and A&M College Office of Veteran Affairs is dedicated to supporting active-duty service members, veterans, reservists, and dependents as they transition from military to campus life. The office provides comprehensive guidance on navigating and certifying VA education benefits, including:
• Benefit Programs: Specialized support for Chapters 30, 31, 33 (Post-9/11 GI Bill®), 35, and 1606, as well as state-specific exemptions such as Title 29 and STEP.
• Application & Enrollment: Assistance with the step-by-step application process, required veteran affairs forms, and the mandatory semesterly SUBRVA Enrollment Certification.
• Academic Success: Guidance on maintaining eligibility requirements to ensure the continued receipt of benefits throughout a student's academic career.
