SEGN 629B Human Exceptionality

SEGN 629. HUMAN EXCEPTIONALITY (3 credit hours). This course will focus on the characteristics of persons with disabilities and the nature of the services available to them. Emphasis is placed on definitions, classifications, prevalence, causation, assessment, curriculum needs, and service delivery models. The historical aspects of special education, major special education legislation and litigation are also discussed.
