CMPS 530. MICROPROGRAMMING (CREDIT, 3 HOURS). BASIC CONCEPTS IN MICROPROGRAMMING ARE COVERED WITH A TYPICAL MACHINE ORGANIZATION. OPERATIONS TREATED INCLUDE REGISTER TRANSFER, TRANSFORMATION, SEQUENCING, AND MEMORY. STRATEGIES FOR IMPLEMENTING CONTROL FUNCTIONS IN MICROINSTRUCTIONS ARE GIVEN, OPERATING SYSTEMS, MICROPROGRAMMING LANGUAGES, BOTH ASSEMBLER AND HIGH-LEVEL ARE
