381. SENSATION AND PERCEPTION (Credit,
3 hours). Introduces the biological foundations of sensation and perception and the processes by which sensory information is organized into meaningful perceptual experiences. Topics include sensory systems, perceptual organization, Gestalt principles, perceptual illusions, neural mechanisms of perception, and experimental approaches to the study of perception. Prerequisite: SPSY 201B: General Psychology with a minimum grade of C.
