325. INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDIES
OF ALCOHOL, DRUGS, AND OTHER
ADDICTIONS (Credit, 3 hours). Examine the causes, consequences, prevention, and treatment of substance use disorders and other addictive behaviors. Students are introduced to treatment planning, case management, prevention, and referral services.Competencies for certification
in Louisiana are discussed. Prerequisite: SPSY 201B a with a minimum grade of C.
