hours). Develops the knowledge and skills required to provide professional guidance and support to individuals with substance use disorders. Topics include counseling strategies, treatment planning, client motivation, relapse prevention, recovery maintenance, and detoxification management, with an emphasis on promoting long-term recovery and a drug-free lifestyle. Prerequisite: SPSY 201B a with a minimum grade of C.
