NURS 600. THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF ADVANCED NURSING (Credit, 3 hours). A systematic examination of the concepts of Nursing, human beings, health, and environment as the basis for the advanced practice of Nursing in a variety of health care settings. Includes an analysis of the major process of theories of nursing, the nature and use of theory, the process of theory construction, and the implications of theoretical formulations for advanced nursing practice, and the development of a conceptual model for practice that supports a theory of Nursing.
