CRIR CRIR 460B Pre-Residency Practicum

460. Pre-Residency Practicum. (Credit, 0-6 hours). This course is designed to equip aspiring educators with the academic, pedagogical, and professional skills necessary for success in the one-year residency program. The curriculum will focus on strengthening content knowledge for Praxis exams, developing effective lesson planning skills, and reinforcing the professional and ethical expectations outlined in the Louisiana Aspiring Educator Rubric (LAER) and Louisiana Teacher Preparation Competencies. Candidates will engage in student-centered instructional planning, develop strategies to support academic and social-emotional learning (SEL), and receive personalized support through advising and university resources.
