218. ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION OF DIVERSE LEARNERS (Credit, 3 hours). This course provides an in-depth exploration of assessment and evaluation strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including children with disabilities, multilingual children, gifted children, and those without exceptionalities. Students will examine both formal and informal assessment tools, focusing on their application in diverse educational settings to inform instruction, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on culturally responsive practices, ethical considerations, and using data to support individualized learning plans. The course also addresses legal frameworks and the role of assessment in ensuring equity and inclusion in education.
