212. INTRODUCTION TO SPECIAL EDUCATION (Credit, 3 hours). This course introduces students to exceptional children, focusing on litigation, legislation, definitions, etiologies, prevalence, characteristics, learning environments, general assessment, and educational technologies for students with special needs. Students will explore legal, instructional, and service delivery considerations while developing awareness and practical strategies for inclusive education.
