PHYS 202B Earth Science II

This is a survey course in Earth Science, with emphasis on a broad and up-to-date coverage of basic topics and principles in geology, oceanography, meteorology, and astronomy. Specific topics include oceans, general atmospheric dynamics, clouds, precipitations, weather patterns and severe weather scenarios, and cursory view of the place of Earth in the Universe, with observational techniques and reasoning processes that characterize Earth System Science and astronomy. This course is algebra based. (Lecture, 3 hours, Laboratory, 2 hours)
