SPHY 211B Elements of Physics I

An introduction to basic concepts, principles, and models in physics. This algebra-based physics course treats kinematics in one and two dimensions, laws of motion (translation and rotation), work and energy, static equilibrium, elasticity, fluids, vibrations and waves, temperature and kinetic theory, heat, and the laws of thermodynamics. No previous course in physics is necessary.
