COEN 325B Computer Vision and Intelligent Systems
This course introduces the fundamental principles and modern techniques of computer vision with emphasis on applications in computer engineering systems. Students learn how computers and embedded platforms acquire, process, and interpret visual information for intelligent decision-making. Topics include image formation, camera models, feature detection and matching, motion estimation, 3D reconstruction, object recognition, and deep learning methods for visual perception. Applications cover autonomous systems, robotics, IoT, and smart infrastructure. Students complete a design project that applies computer vision algorithms to a real-world engineering problem.
